About this project

A pilot for the EUDI Wallet, built on Germany's public sandbox (sandbox.eudi-wallet.org). It runs end to end against the official sandbox and the official wallet app.

The use case

A student enrolls at a university using the official PID in their wallet. The university issues a Student ID and, later, a Graduation Certificate. With that certificate the student applies for a job at XignSys and, once accepted, receives a Work ID, which they then use to sign in to company tools without a password.

How it's built

EUDIPLO, an open-source toolkit, does everything wallet-facing: it issues each credential and checks the ones you present. Enrolling and graduating each take a single scan: you show the previous credential and receive the next one in the same step.

Keycloak handles the company side. When XignSys issues your Work ID it creates your employee account, and afterwards it lets you sign in to company tools (like GitLab) by showing that Work ID instead of typing a password.

This site sits in front of both and walks you through the steps in order.
